Mainly played in the Balkan nations near the Adriatic Sea--Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina--the dvojnice can be played alone or as a part of bagpipes.

Most players play the same melody on both pipes, but some very talented players can play two melodies at the same time!
